Louise Taylor is a qualified teacher and experienced practitioner in working with children and young people with autistic spectrum conditions and learning difficulties.
She has a Degree and Post Graduate level qualifications in Autism and Language and Communication Impairment and is trained in TEACCH, Intensive Interaction and Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS).
Highly skilled in the use of the principles of the SCERTS model and through the analytical use of observation, she has a real skill in being able to see the world through the eyes of those with autism.
Her creative and person centred approach to developing solutions and support can be seen in the greatly improved outcomes of those children and young people that she works with.
She has experience of working at leadership level, transforming autism practice
for an increasingly complex pupil population in her role of Lead practitioner in an outstanding special school, and significantly contributing to the school receiving a special commendation from the National Autistic Society during their accreditation process.
Louise is a member of The National Autistic Society (NAS) Accreditation Team and holds a licence to deliver the NAS EarlyBird and EarlyBird Plus parent training programmes.
As part of her previous role she set up and managed a highly sucessful outreach service for the local authority and supported other special schools with school improvement.
Louise is a skilled presenter with a wealth of experience in developing and delivering training for a wide range of audiences from Early Years Practitioner SEND training to presenting at SSAT conferences.
Having had a child with severe learning difficulties and complex needs, she has first hand experience of the difficulties life can present for families with children who have additional needs and understands the great need for support to enable parents and families to develop communication and management strategies.
